Well well well...here we are! Smack dab in the middle of the holiday season with shopping lists in hand/saved on the phone (this would be me) and holiday parties on the calendar. It's so easy to get caught up (and stressed) in the chaos of it all, isn't it?
My personal plan of attack when it comes to holiday shopping is to plan ahead...scout the stores weeks prior when there aren't crowds to get ideas on what you want to buy/where they are, and to try to shop at stores where you can buy for everyone on your list. This means less driving around in traffic and in turn, more time at home with my family!
One of my favorite stores year after year is JCPenney. Why? Because I've found that their prices are consistently some of the lowest out there and I can shop for my parents, in-laws, Billy, Camden, and my girlfriends all in one trip. WIN! Last weekend I was able to knock out a lot of my shopping there in less than an hour and it was pretty painless. I'll admit that I never realized the extent of all the grand brands they have available until now... think Nike, Keurig, Disney, OSU gear (team apparel), and of course makeup from the Sephora inside. It doesn't hurt that mainly everything was on sale, too!
I wanted to show off some of the items I purchased in this little video I put together...take a look:
Here are the links to the items featured in the video that I purchased: Nike Quarter-Zip Fleece Sweatshirt // Keurig K250 2.0 Compact Brewer (the BEST! it's so compact and sleek!) // Carters 4pk Baby Bodysuits // Too Faced Most Loved Set
Also, I create this gift set below in hopes it'll give you some ideas to gift toast your loved ones! JCPenney has so many great gifts in store and on JCP.com. Here are some of my favorite picks...
NutriBullet (only $80 + 20% off) // Woodwick Candle Gift Set // Personalized Wine Decanter // Utensil Set // Disney Pajamas // First Aid Beauty Sampler Kit // Nike Funnel Club Hoodie
They also have a Gift Ideas section online, where you can shop by price and by person, which makes it super easy.
What is your game plan when it comes to finding the right gift for your loved ones?
Tell me in the comment section below for a chance to win a $100 JCPenney Gift Card! Each comment will be automatically entered to win.

I love the shop by price. Some of my family is so difficult to buy for so I love their suggestions too! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI try to get all of my shopping finished before Thanksgiving, so that I can really enjoy the holiday season with my family :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of the suggestions based on price! Love this!
ReplyDeleteThe suggestions by price is so helpful, especially for those of us with limited funds. I can't thank you enough! :)
ReplyDeleteI do lots of searching online and buying online for gifts. I try to keep to a monetary limit to stay on budget. I do consider gift cards to make things easier and for those that are just hard to buy for.

ReplyDeleteI keep notes about what my friends and family mention they like on my phone. Then when it comes time to buy gifts I have a good idea of what they might like.
ReplyDeleteI try to take mental notes when I hear them say things throughout the year that they need or would like to have & then I keep an eye out on sales to get them!
ReplyDeleteI search online for the best deal and price match with Amazon to get the best deal on a price from any retail store.

I did a lot of damage this Black Friday/Cyber Monday and knocked out a lot of my shopping then. The earlier the better!
ReplyDeleteI actually kept an envelope in my desk this year, and collected little notes I wrote to myself throughout the year when people would mention something they "needed" or "wanted." Started shopping in early October (because I just. cannot. do. the. holiday. mall. scene!!!), and now I am mostly done! Just a few stocking stuffers left to do.
ReplyDeleteI always make notes when a loved one mentions something that they want so I can be sure to get them something they love!
ReplyDeleteI always ask for ideas and then go online to search out ideas!! Try to listen for hints of what everyone needs!!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas shopping game plan seems to be to wait until the last week and then freak out and buy whatever I can find that ships in time or go several lunch breaks to shop.
ReplyDeleteI ask my kids to make a wish list and then I start looking for deals on those items. It takes patience and can take a long time.

ReplyDeleteI keep notes in my phone all year around when I hear a loved one mention something they'd like!
ReplyDeleteI will ask friends or a relative of the person I am being for what that person might want. I also think about what life events are happening to them and buy stuff for that, such as moving to a new home or having a baby. yarbr012@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI keep notes on my phone and amazon lists all year round. In November, my husband and I create a list of everyone we are shopping for and what we are getting. Then I look for sales online and buy most of our gifts that way. We only have one gift left to buy this year :)
ReplyDeleteI ask for their wishes or take notes whenever I notice their needs. My habit is to shop year round for best deals including online price comparison.

ReplyDeleteI keep notes on my phone so I can jot down ideas of things my family would like when they mention it. Now I just need to get to shopping so I'll be ready for Christmas! :) carmentubbs9@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI ask for wishlists but I also think of the person (some are easier than others) such as my cousin who has a new apartment (her first) and I know what she loves plus pinterest helps but then there are people like my dad who I have such a hard time buying for. It's a little bit of both, I suppose!!!
ReplyDeleteI take notes on gift ideas all year long when I hear people say I love this product or this smell or I'm looking for this. Then when it comes time to buy them a gift, I go to that list and start there!!!
ReplyDeleteI do so much research online in the months leading up- blog guides in particular :)
ReplyDeleteI usually look online to get an idea of what items I like and then go shopping in the store to find them.

ReplyDeleteI often give homemade gifts, such as spiced nuts, baked goods, and jams. In order to make sure the recipients will love what I give them, I always make a mental note of what different people seem to enjoy the most. Then it's simpler to match the person with the item or flavor.

We really have everything we need as do our friends and family. So we decided a few years ago to exchange homemade food goodies and either an ornament or holiday decor item. It is such fun looking for the perfect ornament, and there is very little pressure.
