Happy Monday guys!
How was your weekend? We took Camden to the zoo for the first time on Saturday! Even though he is still so young (but at the same time can't believe he will be 5 months next week!), it was seriously so much fun and a big deal to me because I grew up going to summer camp there/loving the zoo! I loved watching him observe everything and the aquarium was definitely his favorite (and the otters!)-he couldn't take his eyes off the fish and bright colors! It was probably one of my favorite memories so far because it made me so happy to show him something that we love and of course got us excited for the future when he will be into the animals more!
I don't even want to admit how many pictures I snapped during the hours we were there but...
Yeah, totally guilty.
That last picture was in the car on the way home when he was snuggling with the stuffed animal otter we bought him. How cute is that?
He managed to stay awake and be all smiles for most of the time we were there. He fell asleep in the stroller towards the end, and at that point we just kept walking around and saw the things we missed from earlier before we left! It was a great time.
Now for some of my favorite recent finds. These were actually supposed to be posted on Friday, but Cam was napping on me for a while so I didn't have time to get a post up. It happens. All of these are such great deals and so cute for summer...
and my favorite...
Distressed Denim Shorts (size up-I got medium)
These shorts are so similar to the popular Rag n' Bone ones, but so much cheaper. I wear them all the time!

Last week I made a goal to start trying new recipes for dinner because for a while there we were eating the same things over and over again, which was getting old and fast. Sometimes I don't feel like cooking at night because I just want to hang out with Cam before he goes to bed! But during one of my days home I just took some time to find 5 new ones and last week I made two of them! They were both delicious! One will be up tomorrow so stay tuned.
Have a great day!
Hi Katie! Your son is adorable! My husband and I can't wait to take our 1.5 year old daughter, Riley, to the zoo. She is obsessed with animals and I think she'll love it. I've been trying to make new recipes lately as well, and have a few semi-healthy options up on my blog in case you want to check it out! Good luck cooking...I would much rather snuggle a baby than cook as well!
