I should first start out by saying that I am 110% addicted to buying fun things for our new buffet and bar area. I didn't realize how fun styling it would be, and I
It seems like there are a billion things out there, besides all the alcohol (or non-alcoholic related items like party favors, sparkling waters, cute straws, etc. for those of you who don't drink) you fill it with, that I want and need to put together a quality bar, but I tried putting together this awesome group of must haves items...
DETAILS: Gold Highball Glasses / Shaker / Electric Wine Opener (have this exact one-love) / Bar Tools / Cork Holder (so many other styles too) / Copper Mugs / Mr. and Mrs. Cocktail Glasses / Serving Tray / Print / Bar Cart (or ours is here) / Mason Jar Shaker / Corkscrew & Opener / Craft Beer World Book / Party Straws / Moonshining Book / Personalized Stemless Wine Glasses (only $44!) / Pilsner Beer Glasses (that have fun #hashtags on them!!)
These items also served as my inspiration for our space. The buffet we have is this one from World Market(and we absolutely love it-but you will see why tomorrow!), but I have heard great things about this Target bar cart and I believe it's on sale now.
So, right off the bat I found an awesome gold mirrored tray from Home Goods (that is identical to this $400 one..but was only $29! *UPDATE: here is a very similar one!) and from there I decided I wanted to mainly have gold and mirrored accents. I had picked up some gold wine glasses from Target on clearance a couple weeks prior, so that just solidified my decision. Fast forward a couple weeks later and we've got new wall decor and our bar pretty much stocked with all kinds of things.
BUT...you'll have to come back tomorrow to see it.
Do you have a bar cart or area in your house? If you are debating it, go for it. Trust me.
Happy hump day everyone!
I have been dying to get a bar cart for my mom! Seeing as I am in my last year of college I figured she could keep it warm while I still live in the dorms. All of these things are absolutely adorable and I feel that this age of time they are essential in any home. Thanks for sharing how easy and great bar carts can be and how they can be decorated!

LOVE the Mr. & Mrs. glasses!!! Can't wait to see the finished product! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your bar/buffet! We have a built in bar area with a wine rack above, but I wish we couls get a separate unit just for fun and to look more modern. I'm obsessed with World Market and Home Goods too! Can't wait to see the reveal tomorrow! xoxo, Lindsay
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on that Target bar cart for awhile now. I need to buck up and get it finally.
ReplyDeleteIf we had the space I would definitely own one!! I think I would go nuts with buying glasses and fun straws for it!! Love how you have styled yours!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Because of Jason's job we have more of a booze room (ie our kitchen nook) and I would LOVE to organize it and make it cute somehow. Wanna come do it for me?
ReplyDeleteI haver NEVER seen a Mason Jar Shaker, but now I know that I need it :)
ReplyDeletehaha I know..I was seriously thrilled when I spotted it!!
DeleteWe have a consol table I put together that used to sit behind our couch when we had our sectional but when we got rid of the sectional I moved the table against this little section of wall we have in our living room but have nothing to do with it. I have just been putting movies under it and decorating the top with picture frames but it would be perfect to be a little bar cart area. Minus the cart part because there are not any wheels on it. Thanks for all these cute ideas of stuff to put on it too!!! Cannot wait to see yours tomorrow! I am sure it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove that Champagne print!! So freakin cute! Finding deals like that at Home Goods, nothing better!! Always nice to find something a fraction of the price ;)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we have zero room in our apartment for a bar cart (tear!) but I can't wait to see how you styled your buffet! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting for this post since I saw your pic on instagram! Love all these precious things and now I know what I want to fill an empty space in the corner of our dining room!
ReplyDeleteI really need to make a bar cart! I just leave everything on my counters :(
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the shout out of our darling print! XO Shop Dandy
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished product! There is a DIY Bar Cart on Pinterest that I am trying to get Rick to make for me. And then I can fill it up with lots of fun things :)
ReplyDeleteLove your inspiration!! I have a bar "area" but, I really do need to find a bar cart or something of the sort!!
