also known as heaven in the form of a pie.
YAY! This isn't just a normal day in blog land today....
Saw it. Pinned it. Did it is BACK IN ACTION!
All in favor of this, please pick up your cell phone and tweet me and Steph saying "it's about freaking time!"
Just kidding.
You don't have to do that.
Instead, just link up with us today to celebrate it being back!

In honor of today's link-up,
I figured I would present you with a celebatory dessert that you can make this weekend for you, your significant other, or for Mother's Day. It's really simple (do you have 10 minutes? if so, you can make this!) and looks a lot more fancy than it really is.
You will impress some people with this one...
a. it's no-bake
b. mention the word "skinny" and they will be even more shocked. It doesn't taste 'skinny', trust me!
Take my word for it (Billy was proof of this theory...)

My pinspiration came from the lovely Skinny Taste. If you don't follow her blog then you should probably get on that because you miss glorious recipes like this, but luckily in this case, you have me to share them with you. ;) I saw a picture of the pie while I was busy pinning away and knew it needed to be made ASAP.
I did adapt this recipe a bit. I just changed one ingredient, which is noted below.
You can do either way!
I did adapt this recipe a bit. I just changed one ingredient, which is noted below.
You can do either way!
Ingredients:
5 oz reduced fat cream cheese, softened
1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup PB2 (I used PB2-Skinny Taste uses Better n Peanut Butter)
8 oz fat free frozen whipped topping, thawed (or truwhip for healthier option)
reduced fat graham cracker pie crusts
3 tbsp Hershey's chocolate syrup
What you do:
Beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar together in a medium bowl. Mix in PB2 (or Better n Peanut Butter) and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spoon into graham cracker pie shell, cover, and refrigerate until firm-at least 2-3 hours. Drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.
So good. So good. So good.
I didn't have chocolate sauce, so I melted some of a candy bar, and unfortunately I couldn't get mine to look as pretty but you get the idea. This pie is light, delicious, and perfect for spring/summer!
Katie tested, Pin approved.
That's my new slogan for when pins = wins. I kinda love it.
Please feel free to pin this to make for later ;)
I'm so excited to see what YOU link-up today for the first week back in action!

thank you E :) :) PB2 is just a powder that you can mix with water and bam! turns into peanut butter. you can use it or the better n' peanut butter skinny taste uses. Make it and let me know how much Kurt likes it! so good. miss you!

Mmmm, I loooove ice-box pies! And, of course, anything involving PB & chocolate ;)
ReplyDeleteYUMMY!! I want to try this... I wonder if you could use regular PB in lieu of PB2?
ReplyDeleteThis looks delish! Thanks for bringing back this link up! It's one of my favs! xoxo, Lindsay
ReplyDeleteI will be trying this! Maybe for a mothers day gift? :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks soooo good! I'll have to try it since my Thanksgiving Peanut Butter Pie (compliments of Pioneer Woman) was way too peanut butter-y but that's because I forgot to check how many ounces were in a cup...vs. how many were in two cups...yeah. That ;)
ReplyDeleteYum...I LOVE this and want to try it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYuumm, I'll have to share this with my mom. My dad would love it!
ReplyDeleteYum! I have a very similar version but I don't use graham cracker crust, I make an oreo crust! This is something that you're better off making a skinny version, because I don't know about you, but I could eat the whole pie in one sitting! New follower & my pup's name is Rocky, too!
ReplyDeletehaha yes, you're right for sure. thank you for saying hello! Another Rocky?! LOVE IT!
DeleteI'm going to have to give this a try! It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteSide note-My hubby and I's one year anniversary is coming up and I have been rereading the posts from your California trip! I think we have decided Lake Tahoe and San Francisco is where we want to go :)
Hi Ashley! I think you'd be making a great choice by going to both those places :) It was our favorite trip we've been on. If you need any other suggestions, please feel free to email me!
DeleteYou did it again! Another "skinny" tasty treat that I know I'm going to love! Can we please have a skinny dessert party? you make the yummy treats and i'll bring the wine?
ReplyDeleteThis look delicious. I'll have to try it out myself b/c my mom doesn't like cream cheese. Crazy I know! Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this looks so yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteNom Nom Nom, get in my belly! Thanks for posting, love!
