Reading: I'm not even lying, it has probably been close to a year since I've read a book. However, I do really want to re-read The Great Gatsby soon (really soon), and then go see the movie! Leo is the best, isn't he? I'm really excited to see it.
Watching: Favorite shows right now? Million Dollar Listing NY just started back up, Nashville (finally Deacon and Rayna are together! ah!), and I have to admit that me and Billy have been watching the Bates Motel and are strangely really into that. Since the days are getting longer and the weather is nicer, I'm trying to keep that TV off more than usual.
Loving: You know, I was sitting in the hammock swinging last night with Rocky (what else is new?) and was thinking about so much. Clearly, it's my new spot for where I do my best thinking. ;) Anyway-I was thinking how much I love lately. How thankful I am for so many things. I took it to my Twitter to ask you guys, "what makes you happiest?", and am going to put a little blog post together with my responses and yours for Monday.
My reasoning behind this?
This Sunday (Mothers Day) isn't the easiest of days for me, and to be honest, I never really feel like doing anything. I usually just want to stay at home and keep to myself. I usually avoid instagram and facebook for most of the day. So, by asking that question to you all on Twitter (or right now-what makes you happiest? really think about it!), they will be such good reminders for me come Sunday, when I'm feeling sad, about how many things I do love and appreciate in my life. And trust me, I've got a good list going to share with you all! #goodstuff

Looking Forward To: My birthday and boating this summer at the cottage! Billy's family has been working really hard at the cottage by painting new colors in the rooms and getting new patio furniture. I'm actually starting a project for it as well, but stay tuned for more details on that. :)

I mean, really? The sunsets are unreal.
Cooking/Baking: I'm wanting to cook all the lovely recipes I saw via our link-up yesterday! Thank you to those who linked up with us...I just love reading them!
Happy (early) Mothers Day to my angel - my Mom.
And of course, wishing a happy Mothers Day to my step mom and my mother-in-law!
See you all on Monday for some hap hap happy things! :)
Can't wait to share them all with you.

I reread The Great Gatsby this week for this first time since highschool and it's a quick and easy read! Plus it's only like 5 bucks on your kindle. Score. Hoping the movie is great! Wish Robert Redford would make a cameo. Laters!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a happy post, I love it! And I can't believe I wasn't already following you on twitter! Don't worry, I fixed that. We need a Great Gatsby book club. That's what the world needs right now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I am so jelly of those boating and sunset pictures. Clearly, I need a friend/family member with a boat :)
ReplyDeleteNashville is such a good show, and I really didn't have very high expectations for it. I didn't know what to expect with Bates Motel and it's turned into this strange roller coaster that I'm definitely addicted to. I have two episodes to catch up on, though!
ReplyDeleteHope your Mother's Day isn't too bad. Can't wait to hear about all the happiness on Monday!
I love sunset/sunrise pictures and that sunset pic on the lake just makes me happy! So gorgeous!! I'm jealous you have a hammock, that's always been on my wishlist of things to own one day! Have a great weekend, Katie!
ReplyDeleteAnd a happy mother's day to you, from one furbaby mommy to another :) My hubby and I are into Bates Motel too...SO weird, but oddly addicting!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the mother part. My mom lives 2000 miles away and it makes me sad that I don't get to spend it with her.

ReplyDeleteLove you friend!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Million Dollar Listing...both NY and LA. I always decide I want to quit my job and be a real estate agent after watching each season. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend!
