    I prefer silver for really expensive things. For instance my engagement ring better be silver. But for anything else I can really go either way and be happy as a little clam :)

    Also, also, I used to only wear gold, but when I got engaged, my ring is platinum, so I've gotten comfortable mixing metals, and wearing more silver/white gold and recently i've started warming up to rose gold as well.
