Hey guys!
I hope you all had a great weekend. There has been a lot going on over in these parts, so it's time for a little update and to share my recent insta's. As most of us are, I'm still on an instagram kick (surprising, right?)...I love how easy it is to capture my favorite things + what's going on around me and beautify them a bit. follow me @katiewkrysh.
This weekend wasn't too crazy for us. In fact, the colder it gets the more I just want to snuggle up on our couch all the time. Hey, it's the truth. On Friday, I got dinner at Molly Woo's (an Asian bistro type restaurant) with two of my girlfriends, and then ended up going out with Billy and his friend after to a local bar for a bit. Saturday was pretty productive as I ran about 53 errands and got a lot of crafting done (see below) while watching the Buckeyes game. Saturday night, Billy and I had a relaxing night at home and finished up some house projects. Writing all this makes me realize how old I really sound...crafting? relaxing night at home? snuggling? Yep. On Sunday night, we went out and had beers and dinner with my parents at BW3's.
Here's a look into our weekend:

As for the updates:
1st. I'm hosting a baby shower with 3 other girlfriends this Saturday for our friend Marissa who is having a baby boy! We are estimating around 50 people-so we have been busy getting the little details together and I've been doing some crafting at our house in preparation. I'm excited for a day/evening with all of my girlfriends and our families.
2nd. Billy and I have been doing DIY project after DIY project around our house lately. This past weekend we tackled painting a gray + white striped wall (that is by our kitchen) and we absolutely love how it turned out! The hardest part is just making sure you measured the width of the stripes right, but once you have that, the rest is pretty easy! I will share some other pictures soon, but thank you to those who commented/liked this picture on instagram!

What do you think?
Billy is also working on our railings that go up our steps...he completely tore them down and is staining part of them brown and the spindles white. Much more difficult then it sounds - trust me! I can't wait to see how they turn out (hopefully good!).
3rd. Ohio State is 10-0. However, we can't play in a championship game, sooo...that.kinda sucks.
4th. I already have my Saw It. Pinned It. Did It project completed for the link-up this week and I'm SO excited to share it that I'm this close to spoiling it! I think you guys will really like this one... ;)
5th. Just because I wanted a 5th thing...don't forget to enter to win a $100 Visa GiftCard from this previous post. Tomorrow I'll be back with a really good smoothie recipe to share. In fact, it's my favorite one to date so that tells you that it's pretty legit.

ReplyDeleteoooooooh i LOVE that wall! anything grey, or striped you can count this girl in!
ReplyDeletealso, props to the hubs for being smart enough to tear the railing down.. i recently stained our railing a dark walnut and lemme tell ya, sanding and staining that thing while it was still attached was no field day.. i should have been a bit smarter about that decision.
oh! and so jealous of your starbucks peppermint mocha! my closest starbucks is still serving fall flavors and i'm dyyyyying for some holiday heaven!!

Love the striped wall!! It looks awesome :)
ReplyDeleteThe striped wall looks so great. I'm also getting really excited about seeing everyone for the blogger holiday get together. I show my mom a lot of your interior decorating-ish pics. Then I half jokingly said...'I'm going to just invite Katie over and make her redecorate this apartment!' Which of course my mother thought was totally weird, because strangers from the internet are dangerous and she doesn't understand why I get so excited when MORE people read my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! Where did you get them? Love the DIY walls, look great!! And such a cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteThose Hunter flats are too cute. I'm still pining for their boots though! I'm also in love with that wall in your house. Also, I'm in love with your house, haha.

ReplyDeleteThat wall turned out amazing! My "loves" in this post are endless, for the record. Watch, outfit, wall, shoes, etc... And about Ohio St., my boyfriend is a Buckeyes fan and he's happy about their record, but bummed about the championship game. Oh well, #GoVols (haha, we're a joke this year).
