We've got the...
Louis Vuitton
...and the
Michael Kors
...the fabulous
Tory Burch
and the classic...
Chanel.
I could keep going on and on.
Anyways, I do enjoy nice, designer things {you are lying if you say you don't}, but they are few and far in between. I am not out shopping weekly for purchases like these and I won't be until I hit the lottery. I'm OK with that though. Unless, any of these designers want to send me a new handbag, that is.
Nothing makes me, or my wallet, happier then when I score a great deal. I would MUCH rather purchase a top, 2 skirts, a scarf, maybe a fedora, from F21 for around $60.00, then get one pair of shorts for $60 somewhere else. Unless those shorts were lace and really really nice...but that's beside the point-we all know my lace obsession right now. That's just me and my lifestyle right now.
Moving on...
the label I'm referring to today are NUTRITION LABELS.
Do you read them?
You should.
Don't you want to know if you are eating an item with high-fructose corn syrup (that = no no)?
Ever since I became a pescatarian, I've tried being more label conscious and seeing exactly what ingredients are in the foods I'm eating.
Recently, I hit the label jackpot and found that my efforts are paying off.
Insert: CHEETOS.
Over 4th of July weekend, my brother-in-law's girlfriend randomly asked me if I could guess how many calories was in 1 bag of Cheetos.
let me just say...I haven't ate a bag of Cheetos in YEARS. I don't remember the last time. BUT, I do pay attention to other chips at fast food places and the labels of them.
I guessed: 320 calories
Actual?
320 calories.
I nailed it on that cheesy head.
She was surprised. I was surprised!
She then decided to quiz me and ask me about the Total Fat.
I said 31%
(I should've answered in grams but didn't)
Actual?
20 g
aka
31%
Are you....seriousss?! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!!!
I was seriously so shocked and proud of myself.
I'm proud that my knowledge about food is expanding and that obviously I'm learning a thing or two!
I realize this is one of my stupidest posts to date and I may lose a few readers because of this, but I had to document that I did indeed do this. I'm also OK with using the nonword stupidest...it's Friday and by the time you read this my mind is already on my first glass of wine.
Moral of the story: READ YOUR LABELS..KNOW WHAT IS GOING IN YOUR BODY. IT'S A LOT CHEAPER!
PS-Cheetos are not healthy. Stay away.
FYI...I know that most of you know already that they aren't healthy & if you know me at all, you KNOW I indulge in junk food & sweets more often than not. Just wanted to make that clear..it's all about balance. :)
PPS-I did NOT end up seeing Harry Potter last night due to it being sold out at our top 2 favorite theatres so we will be going Sunday night! Don't tell me anything!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)
(mine will be filled with more cooking out, pool/sun time, and spending time with all of our family who is coming to stay with us this weekend..we love visitors!)

I know I shouldn't say this but those cheetos are delicious! I dont eat them anymore but they are some kind of yummy! Scary about the nutritional facts though.
